In order to do that, you need to stand behind your rowing machine and then place both of your feet on the seat. Place your hands on the floor as if you are doing a plank position. Now, with your shoulder over your wrist, relax your spine, making sure that they stay long and your belly buttons lifting inwards and up. This will be your starting position. Make sure also that your hips don’t fall below your shoulders as you move along.
Next, pike your hips up and make use of abs to move the seat towards your hands. Press your palms on the floor and make sure that they are planted firmly. Slowly but surely bring it downwards to your plank position. Once you have controlled this motion, repeat it at least ten times.
Since you are in a plank position, the next thing you need to do is to lift your right foot off the seat and then pull your right knee upwards toward your armpit are; this is a controlled mountain climbing position. Repeat the same procedure at least 10 times and again on your left side.
Once you have mastered these moves, you can then add a push-up with your pike position. So your routine moves would be one pike, one controlled mountain position, one push-up and then repeat.
